Our Graduate Development Programme will provide you with an appointed mentor, regular appraisals to support your development, on-the-job learning and formalised training, including attaining professional qualifications.

OUR 2023 OPPORTUNITIES+
As a growing business, we are committed to attracting and developing the brightest talent to, and are excited to announce we are currently recruiting for three graduates to join our property team in our Durham and Leeds offices. This will be our third year of growing future talent through the Graduate Development Programme.
Currently, across the business we have 15 graduates from two cohorts, who are currently enrolled onto our extensive Graduate Development Programme.
If you are interested in becoming one of our Property Graduate Development Planners or a Graduate Transport Planner, being part of a group of like-mind graduates, being part of our projects teams and you want to learn and develop during the 18 month programme and onwards then this role is for you.

TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT+
We are committed to growing future talent, through a robust 18 month programme which focuses on development, vocational skills, as well as equipping you with a sound knowledge for your future careers. Our Graduate Development Programme consists of:

Familiarisation
You will spend time in all of the business areas to get an understanding of the organisation as a whole. This element of the programme will give insight in to how each business area works, the challenges they face and how they deliver success.
Technical Skills and Qualifications
Our graduates are provided with a comprehensive appraisal and a personal development plan to identify training and qualifications that are relevant to their role. This could be a mixture of in-house learning, training courses or professional qualifications. By doing this, we ensure that you have a tailored learning experience which complements your role place development.
THE APPLICATION PROCESS+
There is a three stage sequential selection process which consists of:
1. INITIAL APPLICATION:

2. PRE-RECORDED INTERVIEWS:
Following your initial application, subject to you meeting the essential criteria of the job, you may be required to answer a short set of pre-selection questions set by the hiring manager.
3. ASSESSMENT CENTRE:
If you are successful following your video submission, you will be invited to attend an assessment centre which will take place on 28/29 March 2023 at a venue local to our head office in Durham, North East. On the day, you will be asked to participate in various team activities so that we can learn more about you and your style and you can learn more about the company and the team.
The assessment centre is a real opportunity to showcase your personality, what you have acquired during your university studies and the value you could bring to The Banks Group. It is also a real opportunity to engage with other students, who may become your future colleagues, meet with the property team you could be working with and learn about the business!
